Great question and simply answered, sharing our life experiences, opinions and events is what makes us human. Social creatures interacting with each other and building strong relationships, whether as friends or more. These shared micro bursts of life allow us to develop as friends and enter into discourse regarding them.
Yeah, but why here?
Okay some detail, since the birth of the 'world wide web' we've seen an amazing evolution in communication, people across the planet have been able to share ideas and discuss them in real time. When Tim Berners-Lee invented the WWW he envisaged a utopian of communication that would make the world a better place.
Roll on a few years and today we are seeing the darker side of the internet, the monopolies forcing ideologies and censoring speech, stealing our data, listening in on our ideas and monitoring our every movement. Governments oppressing speech, using technology companies as private enforcers of their narratives.
At markmclaren.co.uk, we don't sell your data, we don't keep your logs and we don't impose our narrative on you. We want a classic and traditional platform, a platform that promotes discourse from ALL sides, not just an echo chamber with people shouting at a wall!
Who's it for?
It's probably for you if you are here, maybe you know me, maybe you have a commonality with me. Whether friend, family or stranger then as long as you are polite, decent and not some mug trying to push a scam then you are welcome.
PS. Mugs with scams will be recorded, analysed and pursued via various online 'dark web' groups paid to make their lives hell.
